Track Racing
Track racing is held at Narrabundah Velodrome, with training on weekends and racing on Tuesday nights.
Location:
Narrabundah Velodrome: - Google Maps Off Goyder Street, through Narrabundah Oval carpark. Past playing fields to Eastern end.
Times:
- Sunday 2-4 for beginners
- Sunday 4-7 elite
- Tuesday Racing opens at 5pm racing starts at 6pm all welcome
2009 Presidents Cup Results Last night Daniel Rickard came away with the coverted President's Track Cup - Christmas Handicap, scoring himself a medal and large trophy - Congratulations on your first big win for the season. To make it to the final, each competitor road in a handicap heat (3 laps), with only eight people making it through the final. Daniel road a smart ride taking full advantage of his 110m handicap and easily making it through to the final. The final saw a large field with riders scattered around the track, with the scratch riders having to chase the limit markers (handicap of 220m). The whistle blew and all everyone got off to a clean start, with 2 laps to go, Daniel was sitting happily in his group - not being caught by the stratch guys yet, howevering they were bringing in the limit markerts. One lap to go the bell rang and Daniels group caught the group of girls in front of him (making some of us look like we were not moving at all). Daniel made his break and outsprinted his competitors to take out the Christmas Handicap.
