The Canberra Cycling Club is pleased to
support the Starlight Foundation and offer their assistance to the riders who
are participating in 2010 Tour de Kids.
Over 50 big-hearted businessmen, including
CEO of Virgin Asia Pacific, David Baxby and former Chief Executive of Colonial
First State, Warwick Negus will set out from Melbourne (27 February) on an
1,100km charity bicycle ride in support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation
and other smaller charities.
Tour de Kids, known as “the ride for life”,
will take over 50 senior executives across some of the steepest mountains in Victoria and New South Wales
including Mt Buffalo and Mt Kosciusko National Park on a 7-day cycling odyssey
ending in Sydney
on Friday 5 March.
Starlight Children’s Foundation CEO Louise
Baxter said, “This year marks the 10th anniversary of Tour de Kids. Since its
inception in 2001, the riders have raised an incredible $3.5 million which has brought
much-needed joy and laughter to the lives of seriously ill children and their
families.
