August skills session postponedAfter the huge success of the July road cycling skills session (part 1 of road racing skills and tactics), part 2 of this session will now be conducted in September - rather than August - due to numerous requests for it to be delayed. (Many people who attended the first session are choosing this weekend for some well earned rest and relaxation). Therefore the next skills session - part 2 of road racing skills and tactics will now be held in September. Further details will be supplied closer to the event. If there are questions regarding the skills sessions or the change of date please contact Jason Mahoney at jasonm.home@gmail.com
Monthly skills sessions
Commencing in May the Canberra Cycling Club (CCC) will be running monthly road cycling skills sessions. The skills covered in these sessions will range from general road racing skills/tactics, through to specific skills such as cornering, braking, pace lines and time trialling. Other skills will also be covered and we are more than happy to accept suggestions. The skills session will be based at Stromlo Forest Park and may use the Cotter/Uriarra loop for on-road work. The sessions will be held on Sundays and run for two hours, usually commencing at 9am. Exact details of the skills covered in each session will be placed on the CCC website approximately two weeks prior to each session being run. Participation in the skills session is open to all members of Cycling Australia affiliated clubs and will cost $5 per person. The proposed dates for the skills sessions are as follows: - 25-May-08
- 08-Jun-08
- 13-Jul-08
- 10-Aug-08
- 21-Sep-08
- 19-Oct-08
- 16-Nov-08
- 14-Dec-08
