Free Traffic Controller Training for the cycling community

Capital Cycling, in association with Roads ACT can confirm it has been able to schedule a free Traffic Controller Training for the cycling community of the ACT for two dates in 2016.

The training will be conducted on the 18 June and 20 August 2016.

These courses (fully subsidised by Roads ACT) have been organised to assist in minimising costs on cycling clubs and organisations to assist with training volunteers, or club appointed marshals to fulfil the marshalling duties at cycling events.

We urge you to make use of this offer and assist your club and the broader cycling community by having more trained and skilled operators available for club and open events in the ACT.

Please note – all registrants must have a current driver’s license.

The Traffic Controller training is a Nationally Recognised training course and meets the ACT and NSW requirements and provides the appropriate qualification to allow a registered person to control traffic at cycling (and other) events. The education and training provided is designed to meet the new standards implemented across Australia in 2016.

Spaces are limited for each training course and registrations will be accepted on a first in, best dressed basis. Please email [email protected] to express your interest.
