NSW Junior Road Championships

We had a small but mighty contingent of Canberra Cycling Club juniors taking part in the NSW State Junior Road Championships in Kurri Kurri last week.

Ashleigh Maas completed a clean sweep, winning gold in the Under 9 Individual Time Trial, Road Race and Criterium. In the u15 men’s we also had Hayden Stevens take gold in the time trial with Angus Withington finishing 7th in a hotly contested field.

Hayden Stevens also took 1st in both the U15 iTT and Road Race, with Angus Withington 5th in the U15 Road Race.

Well done to all of the Canberra riders who participated.

Thanks to the Newcastle Hunter Cycling Club for hosting such a great event. It’s great to see our juniors back out and racing after the lockdown period.
