It may have slipped through quietly, but one of our club members achievements on the world stage came to an end at the end of 2020.
Gracie Elvin raced as a professional for the best part of a decade, achieving some amazing results, including two Australian road titles and numerous one-day race wins and podiums. Most of her time was spent racing for Orica-AIS and Mitchelton Scott, where she was integral in increasing the profile of women’s professional racing in a bourgeoning race category and inspiring countless young up and coming cyclists in the ACT and around the world.
Canberra Cycling Club congratulates Gracie on her outstanding achievements on the world stage, and couldn’t be prouder to announce that she will be our Women’s Club Captain. Chapeau, Gracie, and thanks for the great memories from your career.
