Times: The race starts at 9am with rego open from about 8:15 and closing at 8:50.
Registration and Race Start: The race start is on Mountain Creek Rd. Registration on the corner of Uriarra Road and Mountain Creek Road. Parking will be in the parking area near Uriarra Homestead.
Course: The course is relatively flat with around 7km of gravel/dirt road per lap. It heads from the corner of Uriarra Road/Mountain Creek road and heads west for approx 3.5km before returning to Uriarra Road. Riders then turn left towards Uriarra Crossing turning around before the descent into the crossing and returning to the start finish. Riders will complete between 1 and 3 laps depending on their grade.

On a bright, warm, windless morning, 28 riders fronted up for the ‘Hell of the West’
Four riders punctured just warming up on Mountain Creek Road before the race
But only 9 riders succumbed to DNF’s through punctures during the race – some taking multiple punctures to be convinced of further folly.
Steve Crispin after two punctures, took the option of stuffing his tubeless front tire with grass in order to complete the event.
