We are excited to welcome the Heart Foundation on board as the official Charity Partner of the 2017 Tour de Femme.
The Heart Foundation relies on donations and gifts to continue its lifesaving research and health education work. A portion of all entries will be donated to this amazing charity, so you can make a difference just by taking part. Riders also have the option to make a donation through the Heart Foundation’s own fundraising website. You can make your donation to this great cause here or set up your own fundraising page for your ride.
The Tour de Femme is a women’s-only twenty four kilometer ride that doubles as both a race and a participation event. In 2017 it will be held on Sunday 12th November. There is going to be 2 races this year all on closed roads. We are going to have a ride for 7yr to 11yrs this will be a shorter ride (~3km). Then the second ride will be the actual Tour de Femme which the elite will race in. There are a range of age divisions with separate prizes that are hotly contested each year.
In addition to those interested in racing, the Tour de Femme attracts a large number of participants who treat it as a ‘fun-run’ on wheels. Everyone who enters by the closing date will receive a T-shirt and a water bottle. It is not necessary to have a club or open racing licence to enter. Riders from 7yrs to those in their eighties participate.
